"Why healthier desserts?"
When we started our shop, we incorporated less sugar in every product because it enhanced the taste. As a result, customers with dietary restrictions frequently inquired about dairy-free and gluten-free options.
We didn't take these inquiries seriously until our son developed a skin condition that covered his entire body, causing him to wake up every night crying from itchiness.
As parents, we had to try everything to alleviate his condition. One of the things we tried was a vegan diet when we observed a potential reaction to dairy. It was during this time that we recognized the limited availability of delicious vegan desserts, echoing the pain expressed by our customers in their numerous inquiries.
In our quest to answers, we traveled to South Korea for an allergy test, having faced rejection due to the long wait times in Saskatchewan. Fortunately, his condition improved during the trip, and the blood test showed he was not allergic to diary.
Nevertheless, our dedication to crafting healthier desserts persists for those who, like us, have experienced such challenges.
